Target Center FAQs

Acceptable Forms of Identification

All Guests who appear to be thirty (30) years of age or younger will be required to show positive and current proof of age prior to being served alcoholic beverages.

Acceptable forms of valid photo identification are: State Issued Driver’s Licenses, State Issued I.D. Cards, United States Passports, United States Military I.D. Cards, Canadian Issued Driver's Licenses and International Passports. Note - expired identification pieces including driver's licenses accompanied by a license renewal application will not be accepted.  No paper forms of ID will be accepted.

Guests may purchase up to 2 alcoholic beverages at a time. Alcohol service may be discontinued at any time at the discretion of management.

Arena Tours

Target Center provides FREE Tours* of the arena on the first Thursday of the month. A tour guide will meet guests in the Main Lobby - Box Office (600 First Avenue North) and show a guided tour of the building. The tour begins at 2:00 PM.

(* If there is an event on the first Thursday of the month - call 612.673.1350 to confirm that the tour is still taking place - some events will not allow tours during load in timeframe)

For groups of 10 (or more) reservations are required. Please call 612.673.1350 Note: There is additional charge for groups or 10 or more.
"Reserved Time Tours" may also be booked for an additional charge. Please call 612.673.1350 to schedule a tour or for more information.  

ATMs

There are seven Automated Teller Machines located within Target Center.

ATM machines are located inside the arena at sections 106, 136, 206 and 236 – these machines are only accessible for guests with tickets for events.

Two additional ATM machines are also available for the general public - one in the main lobby and one on the skyway level. 

Binocular Rentals

Target Center provides binocular rentals for a fee for many events. You may rent binoculars from the Guest Services office outside of section 138.

Buddy Bands Presented by Kinderberry Hill

Buddy Bands is a program designed to assist in the prompt and safe return of a child in case of a separation from their parent.  This FREE SERVICE is avalable at Guest Services at all Target Center events.  Click here for more information.

Camera Policy

The photography/videography policy varies by event. For event specific questions, please call 612.673.1600 in advance. As a general rule, all video cameras and still cameras with detachable lenses or with lenses of 3 inches or longer are prohibited with the exception of Timberwolves, Lynx and high school events. This policy is subject to change.

For Timberwolves and Lynx games: Still cameras as well as professional cameras with detachable lenses of 3 inches or longer are permitted. Video cameras are prohibited.

For High School Tournaments/Graduations: Spectators may bring in personal cameras and personal hand-held video cameras. Cameras with detachable lenses over 3 inches are allowed. Spectators are not allowed to bring in tripods of any kind. Media must have proper credentials. 

For NCHC Frozen Faceoff: Small, non-professional still cameras & hand-held video cameras are allowed. Professional cameras with detachable long lenses are not allowed.

Catering In-House

Concessions

Target Center does not allow outside food or beverages into the arena. However, Delaware North Companies provides guests with a wide variety of menu options.

Bar at 217 is Target Center's NEW walk-in bar, located in the Upper Concourse.

Fan Courtesy

Fan courtesy is an important element of enjoyment at Target Center. Improper conduct (including profane or abusive language and throwing objects) may result in ejection from the building. Repeated offenses could result in the loss of ticket privileges. 

First Aid Locations

First aid facilities are available behind section 116 in the lower level and section 216 in the upper level. Please ask the nearest usher or event staff for any assistance.

Gift Certificates

Target Center gift certificates are available at the box office. Target Center gift certificates are good for ticket purchases at the box office, as well as concessions and merchandise purchases in the arena. Note – gift certificates can not be used for purchasing tickets through AXS.com.

Guest Drop-Off/Pick-Up

Guest drop off is available on First Ave. between 6th and 7th Street. Vehicles dropping off or picking up guests are not allowed to park. Waiting time is limited to 5 minutes. Unattended vehicles will be ticketed and towed.
 

Guest Service Assistance Line

If you have a question, thought or concern, please leave a message on the Guest Service Assistance Line 612.673.1380. Messages are checked regularly and your call will be returned. If you are calling specifically for Lost and Found call 612.673.1333.

Guest Services Office

Target Center provides many services to our guests. The Guest Services Office is located on the lower level outside of section 138 and is open during all events.

Guest Waiting Area

Parents/guests who are bringing others to an event but will not be attending the event themselves have several options for locations at which to wait. Hubert’s Restaurant, located at the corner of 6th Street and First Avenue in Target Center, is open to the public during arena events; however, a minimum purchase is required. Guests can also stop by Target Center’s Administrative Office located on the skyway level – reception space may be available there on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition, chairs will be made available for some shows in Target Center’s public skyway for guests who are waiting for others. Call 612.673.1600 prior to the event for more information. Please note - Target Center is not responsible for any minors who are left unattended at an event. We strongly encourage parents and guardians to use their best judgment when allowing any child to attend an event without adult supervision. There are no public restrooms located in the waiting areas – guests must have an event ticket to access the arena restrooms. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Huberts Sports Bar & Grill

Located at Target Center on the corner of First Avenue and 6th street. Huberts features Happy Hour everyday from 11am-6pm featuring $4.00 bottle and tap beer and our $4.00 drink of the month. Huberts offers direct access to the Target Center arena.

 

Lifetime

Lifetime Fitness, where the belief is that a fitness facility is more than a building full of exercise equipment, aerobic studios and swimming pools; rather, it is a commitment to the health and well-being of the people they serve. Lost Children

Lost children are immediately brought to the Guest Services Office located outside section 138 on the lower level. If you are looking for a lost child or need assistance of any kind, please contact any Target Center event staff.

Target Center now offers Buddy Bands Presented by Kinderberry Hill.  This FREE SERVICE is available at all Target Center events.  Please see our Guest Services Office for more information.

Lost and Found

A lost and found service is available in the Guest Services Office located outside section 138 in the lower level. Articles are kept at the office until the end of the event and then are stored for 15 days. For more information, please call 612.673.1333.

Non-smoking Area

Target Center is a smoke-free building and was the first major arena in the US designated completely non-smoking. In addition to the arena’s own policy, smoking is not allowed in public facilities in Hennepin County. Smoking may result in ejection from an event and/or an actual citation. If you need to smoke, Target Center event staff can direct you to designated smoking areas. The use of cigarettes (including electronic cigarettes) is not permitted inside of the arena.
 

Parking

Parking Passes are available at several parking garages and lots surrounding Target Center through Parking Panda, the nationwide leader in online parking reservations. Upon purchase, parking passes will be emailed instantly, and can be printed or redeemed by smartphone. Entry to your selected location is 100% guaranteed with a valid parking pass, even if the location fills up.  Many parking locations will sell out for Target Center events, so it is strongly recommended that you purchase Target Center Parking Passes in advance if driving.

Poster/Signage Policy

As a general rule, posters/signage under 18 x 24 inches are allowed in Target Center, pending individual tour/promoter approval. All posters/signage must be handheld, may not be mounted on sticks or poles, may not be lit or constructed using lighting elements, may not contain offensive language or graphics and may not prevent other guests from seeing the stage/event. Posters/signage deemed "inappropriate" for any reason will be confiscated by Target Center or tour security. Target Center reserves the right to amend this policy at any time based on specific event requirements. Our poster/signage policy does vary by event, so please call 612.673.1600 in advance with questions.

*Target Center’s definition of “Weapons” includes but is not limited to the following; knives or blades of any length, metal nail files, chains longer than 6 inches not made of precious metals (i.e. platinum, gold or sterling silver), firearms (authentic or replicated, including toys), clubs or extendable batons, any type of chemical irritant spray, stun guns or tasers, spiked or studded jewelry, brass knuckles or any other item that could likely be used as a weapon or may cause injury if thrown or used improperly. The only exception to this section of the policy is for credentialed law enforcement officers who are on duty or under the employ of Target Center at the time of entry. Said officers must be in uniform or identify themselves to door security staff and be cleared by uniformed Minneapolis Police on site prior to entry.

**This may vary depending on requirements of individual shows. Cameras are allowed at all Timberwolves and Lynx basketball games and the NCHC Frozen Faceoff.

***Limited food and/or snacks are defined as; one small bag snack per child, cardboard juice boxes or foil juice bags. If a large number of expected guests are school groups this may be amended to allow these groups to enter with bag/box lunches. Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis by authorized staff listed above. “Limited Outside Food Items or Snacks” does not apply to specific family shows where there is no outside food allowed. Guests with a medical issue should contact Target Center Guest Services at 612-673-1380 in advance.

**** Video cameras are allowed for high school games and graduations and the NCHC Frozen Faceoff. However, tripods are prohibited.

***** Cameras with Detachable and Lenses over 3 inches are allowed for high school games and graduations.

******Please note that iPads and other small tablets (e.g. Kindles) are allowed for designated sporting events including Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx games and MSHSL events.

Re-Entry Policy

Target Center has a no re-entry policy for most events. Once you leave the building during an event, you will not be permitted to return.

For NCHC Frozen Faceoff: Fans may exit the tournament and return at any time – they need to pick up a re-entry wristband upon exit.  Fans will need to present the wristband and tournament ticket for re-admission to the event.

Refunds

Target Center cannot refund the cost of any previously purchased tickets.

Secondary Ticket Market

AXS is the ONLY authorized ticketing agent of Target Center. If you purchase tickets from an unauthorized agent in the secondary market (Scalper, Ticket Broker, eBay, etc) you risk purchasing counterfeit or invalid tickets.
 

Scoreboard Messages

Special greetings and messages may be put on the center scoreboard for most Timberwolves and Lynx games. Please call 612.673.1600 for more information. There is an additional charge and it does require five day notice prior to the game.

Special messages and announcements are not available for concerts and other events at Target Center.

Security Policy

Target Center creates a safe and secure environment for guests and employees. The venue security personnel reserve the right to determine the method of security checks as deemed necessary including the use of metal detectors, the search of jackets, clothing and other items.

Service Animals

All service animals are welcome. Please notify your ticket seller at the time of purchase if an aisle seat is required to accommodate your service animal. Service animals must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times. Service animals must display proper documentation.

Pets are not permitted in Target Center.
 

Solicitation/Vending

Target Center does not permit unauthorized soliciting or collecting of contributions, vending, distribution of flyers or other promotional/advertising materials on the premises unless approved in advance by management

Ticketless (Credit Card) Entry

Ticketless (Credit Card) Entry is an alternative delivery method to Electronic Delivery, Standard Mail, or Will Call. Instead of receiving your tickets ahead of the event, the credit card used to make the transaction will serve as your ticket. For more details click here.
 

Wheelchairs and Assisted Hearing Services

Wheelchairs: Target Center is fully ADA compliant with a drop-off lane on First Avenue, elevators that are accessible to all levels of the arena, designated disability seating locations and wheelchair accessibility. Guests are encouraged to bring their own wheelchairs whenever possible. Target Center does have a limited number of wheelchairs on site for all events that can be used to transport a guest to and from their seat location; however, these wheelchairs cannot be left with the guest during the event. A guest services employee can meet a guest at either entrance of Target Center (skyway or main lobby), transport them to their seat and meet them following the event if needed. Due to the limited number of wheelchairs available on site, a slight delay may occur. Guests can call Guest Services at 612.673.1380 with questions regarding accessibility.

Target Center CANNOT provide wheelchair transportation outside of the arena.


Assisted Hearing Services: Listening devices are available for use during events from the Guest Services Offices located outside of section 138. If your group requires several listening devices please call 612.673.1380 (at least 2 weeks prior to event day) to alert the Guest Service Staff.

When purchasing event tickets, please request seating in the hearing impaired section as hearing impaired interpreters can be provided for events.  Interpreter seats cannot be purchased via AXS.com. In order to purchase tickets, the customer will need to contact the box office via phone (612-673-0900) or e-mail the request to info@targetcenter.com.  
 

Unaccompanied Minor Statute

MINNEAPOLIS YOUTH CURFEW HOURS
Target Center follows Hennepin County Ordinance No. 16, Sub. A, B, or C which established curfew times for unaccompanied youth ages 17 and under. A parent, guardian or other responsible adult should accompany youth after curfew hours.
