The 2012 Western Conference Champion Minnesota Lynx tip off the 15th season of professional women’s basketball at Target Center on Saturday, June 1 at 7 p.m. against 2012 WNBA MVP Tina Charles and the Connecticut Sun. Led by a trio of Olympians (Seimone Augustus, Maya Moore and Lindsay Whalen) and All-Star forward Rebekkah Brunson, the Lynx have reached the WNBA Finals in back-to-back seasons, winning 54 games over the past two seasons, the second highest two-season win total in WNBA history. With 2011 WNBA Coach of the Year Cheryl Reeve at the helm, Minnesota is ready to win another championship to their resume in 2013.
